Hotel San Pietro

Class, Class, Class. Rather than go to one of the local spots, we all dressed up a little nicer to go to Hotel San Pietro's Restaurant.

San Pietro was amazing-but pretty pricey. The food was great, but I think we mainly paid for our gorgeous view. Overall, great spot! 

Positano: Day 1 & 2

Our first full two days in Positano have completely blended together in a haze of drinks and sun. After days of touring in Rome, it has been a nice change of pace to lay by the pool and just enjoy the beautiful weather.

Our second day in Positano, we rented a dingy to take out to the Amalfi Coast

When we first got on the boat, a local guy helped us on the boat and even drove us out of the dock. But right after that he motioned my dad to the steering wheel and jumped off on to another boat. To say the least we were a bit caught off guard. Thank goodness we had dad to drive!

Smoke!! All week there has been a HUGE fire higher up in the mountains. Sometimes ash would even fall on our balcony in front of our hotel room. But no worries we were completely safe! It was so far up that there was no risk of it getting near us.

Lunch time!

After our boat ride we found a cute, quick place to eat near the docks. We got pizza, calamari (the usual), & a few drinks. So delish! Somehow I still haven't gotten sick of italian food yet (knock on wood). XOXO

Positano

Finally in Positano! It took a train and a painfully long taxi down winding roads to get here, but as you can see by these views-so worth it!

Buca di Bacco is also a hotel-which Grace Kelly stayed in right after she had married Prince Albert of Monaco. 

While walking around town after dinner I saw this drawing of Blake Lively. Love her! Seriously-I was very close to buying it.

We thought walking on the beach would be a good way to work off some of our dinner, but we didn't realize how rocky the beach is in Positano. The "beach" is completely covered in decent sized pebbles. 

So far we are all loving it here! Positano is definitely one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to.
