New York: Day 3

Me and Julia's flight home was not until 7:30pm, so we had just enough time to get a great brunch, walk around town, and have a few drinks.

Great brunch place!

Alex & I got the Peach Berry Bellinis. We loved the little pieces of fruit. By the way- very awkward placing of the drinks. We laughed so hard when we saw this picture. I sware we didn't do that on purpose!

The classic mimosa

So much food

This is the view of the outside of The Frying Pan. The restaurant includes the entire boat as well as the dock next to it. Seriously- if you are ever in NYC go here! This is the perfect place to brunch, booze, whatever.

Couldn't get a better view

Julia loves her some sangria

And I do too

My last picture of my trip to New York. So sad. The vibrant colors in this graffiti definitely caught my eye. I had to stop and take a picture.

New York: Day 2

After struggling to wake up, Julia & I met up with our bestie Alex. Alex is living in the Soho area for the summer, so she took us all around the area. It was nice to really experience the city without all the touristy stuff- as much fun as it can be!

BEST cupcake place! Unlike any other cupcake store, Baked by Melissa is nothing more than what you see in this picture. Just walk up, tell them what you want, & enjoy your delish cupcake!

So many different flavors. I got red velvet, s'mores, cookie dough, & oreo. YUM. Oh and the best part is that these cupcakes are adorable & bite-sized!

Little Italy

Hello China town! I know this area may look dingy, but down the stairway under the yellow "Doyers" sign is an updated aztec-like restaurant called Pulqueria

You know you have found it when you see this blue door.

I definitely made a sigh of relief when I saw this inside of Pulqueria. The atmosphere is fabulous. The Mexican vibe and dim lighting sets the tone for a festive dinner.

Enjoying our Mango Curados de Pulque

After our adventure to China town, we took a taxi back to Soho where we met up with some friends at Gatsby's.

We had originally planned to simply stop by for one or two drinks, but (as usual) our night lasted long into the night. Woops!

The City That Never Sleeps

This could not be a more accurate title to sum up my weekend. Over my four day trip to New York I don't think I slept more than six hours. Ridiculous. To start off the weekend a bunch of us celebrated HMB's 21st birthday at Haru Sushi. I am not a huge sushi lover, but this place was AMAZING. Go here if you are ever in NYC.

 The Birthday Girl

Largest drink I have ever seen

 First stop: The Grey Lady

Late night stop at Sway Lounge. Quite the experience.

These guys were dancing around the place the whole night. Kinda creepy at first, but so entertaining.

 New friends? Haha

Loving the table service

Dueling Pianos

It is starting to set in that I will soon be in Europe. Crazy. But before I travel abroad, I will be traveling a bit in the states. First stop: my lovely abode in Sea Island. I know I will see some beautiful places abroad, but its hard to believe that a anywhere else could beat Sea Island.

Dueling Pianos
This is a new event at the Cloister on Sea Island where two pianos take requests & play GREAT music. All the good Mowtown music, etc. The free champagne they hand out doesn't hurt either.

Celebrating Georgia & Scott's engagement!
