La Tagliatella

We had quite a few places left on our bucket list left over for our last night in Barcelona, so we made many stops. First we stopped by La Tagliatella, next Cervecería Catalana, and last but lot least Sutton. 

My mouth is watering looking back at this picture. 

It's a tortellini filled with mozzarella, tomato, & basil, topped with olive oil, garlic, and red pepper. 
And do not be deceived when you find out that La Tagliatella is a chain. Such fresh & fabulous food!

Along with another bottle of wine we couldn't resist a little dessert. 

Cervecería Catalana

We only stopped by for a little after-dinner wine, but I wish we had eaten here. As you can see, all of the seafood looks pretty fresh. 

Before dinner, we had tried to stop by for a drink then. Unfortunately it was way too crowded. But it only means good things about the restaurant when there is a huge crowd. 

After drinks at Cervecería Catalana, we met up with some friends we had met the night before at CDLC. We got there around 12 right when they started passing around the champagne with the sparklers inside.

Obviously Julia like the sparklers more than the champagne.

What a great last night in Barcelona! In my opinion, Julia, Alex, Nina, and I fit the full Barcelona experience into one weekend. We went sight seeing, ate great tapas, went to the best bars and clubs, and took some much needed R&R on the beach. I wonder if our next stop to Munich will compare??

CDLC

Thanks to a fabulous recommendation from our friend, Erin Gates, we found one of the best restaurants in Barcelona- CDLC. 

All dressed up for CDLC in our lovely hostel room! In my opinion it is pretty amazing how we managed to look decent considering our living conditions-especially with four girls. 

Because our reservation at CDLC was not until 9pm, we stopped by a cute little restaurant on the beach for a drink or two.

For dinner, we all sat outside on the terrace on a giant couch-definitely a different eating experience. I was very happy to be wearing a maxi skirt, because sitting indian-style was our only option. 

Great atmosphere!

You may notice that Julia, Alex, and I do not have our shoes on. Anywhere else this may seem strange or even gross, but everyone in the lounge area was doing it! If anything we were just following the crowd. 

We never wanted to leave CDLC, so after dinner we spent the rest of our night at the bar and made good friends out of the bartenders. 

I love nothing more than a great dinner experience and CDLC definitely delivered! Plus, it didn't hurt that our waiter looked like Smith Jerrod from Sex and the City.

The Streets of Barcelona

I have to say, Barcelona may be one of my new favorite spots. The weather is warm, the buildings are beautiful, and everyone starts their days and end their days later. I am definitely a night owl, so I loved having dinner around 9 pm and not going back to the hostel until the wee hours of the morning. 

 

The water is gorgeous here! And plus the sand is pretty soft, so nice to take a nap on. I know we all took advantage of that.

 St. Josep Market-another favorite spot in Barcelona. 

So many of the stands at St. Josep's were covered in mounds of beautiful, fresh fruit. 

These fruit smoothies are not like fruits from anywhere else. They are more like a juice and are soo refreshing. I swear they are made of 100% fruit.

La Sagrada Familia is so beautiful, but kind of strange at the same time. See the little fruits at the top of the peaks?

For our first night in Barcelona, we were begging for a cold cocktail after a long and tiring day. So, naturally, this sign caught our eye. 

We all agreed on a champagne sangria 

Chick Paella for everyone! Seriously- I think this one pan could have fed all of Barcelona.  

After dinner we stopped by a smaller club called Salsa.  

And not too surprisingly, everyone was doing the Salsa inside. Each one of the couples were AMAZING dancers. So, me, Julia, Nina, and Alex decided to sit on the sidelines and enjoy the show.

Before we realized it, 3am rolled around and we forced ourselves to head back home. We wanted to get at least a few hours of sleep for another fully-packed day in Barcelona! 

The Churchill Arms

I did not know this when I first arrived in London, but apparently London is the place to go if you want great Thai food-and I love me some Thai food. So since I have arrived in the city I have been asking around where the BEST Thai food restaurant is in the area. And thanks to my mom and dad's suggestion I think I found it.

You would never miss this place. It is completely covered in flowers and usually very crowded. 

When getting to Churchill Arms we waited by the bar for about an hour before being seating. We spent the time drinking a glass or two of wine and talking to the locals-really a lot of fun. But if you just want a quick bite I'd recommend getting a reservation.
