Vienna: Day 1

Such a beautiful morning in Vienna! After a few days of fog in Prague, it was refreshing to wake up to sunshine. So right away Julia & I got out of bed, picked up a latte & croissant, and headed towards The Albertina & The Natural History Museum. (I swear-it is not as boring as it sounds.)

Lovely view from the top of the steps of The Albertina!

Such cool steps

I basically have Monet's autograph

...& a blurry version of Degas'.

Pablo Picasso

After sneaking a few pictures inside The Albertina, Julia & I stepped outside for some fresh air in a near by garden.

I was kinda bummed we had already eaten lunch when we walked by this little joint. The entire inside is a greenhouse & everyone sits outside & enjoys the view.

Next stop-The Natural History Museum
(I know-we are huge nerds)

So pretty inside!

A whale's skeleton
This picture does not justify how HUGE it is.

A whale's lower jaw framing the doorway. Creative.

Hey there!

Rawrr

Scary Dinos!

The largest turtle EVER.

After a day packed of pretty paintings & gardens, we headed to M Lounge for some tapas.

Seasame Chicken Dumplings & a Pepper Pork Springroll --
M Lounge has the widest range menu I have seen in a long time. And EVERYTHING sounded delicious. Thank goodness they are tapas so I could nibble a little bit of everything.

Date night!

A tiny dish of risotto & egg-fried noodles

After a great meal at M lounge we decide to "cleanse" our pallette with some Mango & Nutella gelato.
(I got the Nutella & it was amaaazzzzing)

Lanoni is designed like a classic American ice cream parlor. But, of course, instead of selling ice cream they sell gelato.
